19 Sep Our Residence visits the Juan Carlos I Park
This past Sunday the 17th, our boys and girls from the residence have had the opportunity to visit Juan Carlos I Park in Madrid, located in Campo de las Naciones.
This park is very famous in the Spanish capital since its inauguration in 1992 to celebrate the ‘Madrid European Capital of Culture‘.
The visit began at 12 noon when the boys and girls arrived at the park. Taking advantage of the good weather, they enjoyed the different recreational activities installed within the park; here we could see, once again, the feeling of friendship and companionship that exists in the residence, being the oldest ones of the group who were the most proactive in organizing the various games with the smaller ones.
After enjoying a picnic in the open air, prepared by the school kitchen, the boys and girls took a walk in the park and its surroundings, learning about the history and traditions of Madrid in this place, thanks to their educators, while enjoying and observing how many visitors take advantage of the last days of the summer to practice sports like canoeing or cycling.
A day outdoors is undoubtedly the best representation that culture can also be very natural.
